How long will my package take to arrive?

All packages within Australia, are delivered within 1-6 business days. You may choose your shipping method upon checkout. Your time line may be effected by customs clearance time within your own home country. All our packages are prepared to be shipped anywhere in Australia and should not be held for any reason.

I live outside of Australia, do you ship to me?

Yes! Bombay Hair is proud to ship world wide.

How long are processing times?

Please allow 24-48 business hours for us to process your order. Once your order ships you will receive confirmation via email including tracking. Orders are processed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm PST.

What is the processing time for holiday/sale orders?

Due to a higher volume of orders processing periods will be extended during sales and holidays (eg. Black Friday, Boxing day etc.). Please allow 1-5 business days for your order to ship. Orders are processed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm PST.

Once processed, the shipping timeframe will depend on the shipping method you select at checkout. You will receive your tracking number once your order ships!

Can I change/cancel my order?

We are working hard to get your order to you can soon as possible! So, once you place your order, we cannot guarantee any changes or cancellations can be made. As your order is sent to processing to be shipped as soon as possible. We will try our best if you need to make any changes! You can call us, live chat with us or email us to orders@bombayhair.com with your request.

I need my order faster! What can you do?

You can select overnight shipping at checkout for an additional cost. This service is only available in Australia. 12pm PST is the cut off for overnight delivery. Please always allow 24 hours for processing. Overnight shipping services do not include areas considered remote or P.O boxes.

Do you ship to P.O boxes?

Yes! We do ship to P.O Boxes. Please note that shipping to P.O Boxes may take 3-10 business days.

Will be charged customs and/or duties fees by my country?

  • For Australia: No duties or customs fees are applicable on your purchases.

  • For International Countries: International customers may be required to pay sales tax, duty and/or Customs charges. All taxes and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the cost of the order or shipping charge. Taxes and customs charges differ depending on the country and state of the shipping address. We suggest contacting your local customs office if you are unsure of the applicable taxes and customs fees that are relevant to you. Bombay Hair is not responsible for any additional taxes and customs charges that are requested during the shipment of your order.

If you have recieved shipping confirmation with a tracking number, please contact the carrier directly. If your package was shipped via FedEx please sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager here. You will be able to change your delivery address and other details.

Is my shipping fee refundable?

All shipping fees are non-refundable.

Delays through shipping carriers can occur due to a variety of uncontrollable/unexpected reasons (weather, closures, high volume times). Every effort is made to ensure your package is received on time however, shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of any carrier delays.

I think my package is lost?

Use our investigation form here to start an investigation about your package. Click here. All Bombay Hair packages travel with tracking information. Bombay Hair is not responsible for packages where tracking information states the package has been delivered to your address.
If you have previously experienced lost or stolen packages where you reside, we encourage you to instead have your package delivered to a work address or to a secure pick up location to ensure that you receive it safe and sound.

I think my order arrived incorrect?

Oh no! First be sure to check your confirmation email. Confirm the type of extensions received are the exact type ordered. If your order is incorrect please use our contact form here. Click Order inquiry, and select received an incorrect item . All order issues need to be reported in 7 business days. This way we can most effectively get you the correct item.

My package was returned to you?

FedEx and UPS will make 3 delivery attempts to your provided address. If the three attempts are unsuccessful they will hold the package for 2 more business days at their facility. If the package is still not retrieved the package will be returned to us. Packages that have been abandoned or returned to sender are subject to a return to sender fee, which will be deducted from your return. Packages that require to be re-shipped will be subject to a shipping fee.

FAQs

I sent back my return. When will I receive more information?

As soon as your return is received by our facility your return will be processed within 24-48 hours and receive an email stating the return was completed.

Once we have sent your refund back to your original payment method, it can take your financial institution up to 5 business days to process.

I received my hair extensions and want to see if the colour matches. How can I do this while still being able to return them if the colour does not match?

For Clips: You will notice your hair will arrive in two separate hair nets. the smaller bundle is your test piece. You can take off the net and test this piece in your hair. Do not remove the gold ties attached.

For Tapes/Fusion: You can remove the sandwiches from the hair net. Do not remove the brown ties.

For Weave hair: You can gentle remove the weave from its package to test the color. Do not remove the zip tie.

I ordered my item and received it later. When is the last day I can return or exchange my item?

You must submit your request for a return or exchange before the 30th day after delivery. For example if your order was delivered May 1st, you have until May 31st to submit a return or exchange request.

Can I send this back on my own?

All returns must be emailed in.Β Any returns received without notice may will be rejected.

Do I need to pay for my return?

Yes, customers are responsible for safely sending the exchange or return item back to us. We suggest you purchase tracking information from your courier as Bombay Hair is not responsible for lost returns.

What is unopened condition?

For Hair: This means the hair has never been used, and the security ties are intact. These ties can be gold, brown or zip ties. Hair that is received in opened condition is discarded. Do not remove the zip ties/golden ties/brown ties if you may need to return. Hair that is returned open is subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee of the full value of the order.

For Styling Tools: This means the box has never been opened and the tool has never been plugged in. Tools returned and found to be have opened or used are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

I opened my hair. Can I return it?

For Hair: This means the hair has never been used, and the security ties are intact. These ties can be gold, brown or zip ties. Hair that is received in opened condition is discarded. Do not remove the zip ties/golden ties/brown ties if you may need to return. Hair that is returned open is subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee of the full value of the order.

For Styling Tools: This means the box has never been opened and the tool has never been plugged in. Due to the hygenic nature of the product we are unable to return open hair tools. Tools that are received in used condition are discarded.

What is a restocking fee?

In the event that open tools are returned to us they are subject to a 15% restocking fee that will be deducted from your return. In the event opened hair is returned to us they will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. If your item shipped with no shipping fees but is returned a $10 fee will be deducted.

What is Shipping fee?

All delivery and shipping fees are nonrefundable. Bombay Hair does not reimburse for duties or taxes incurred by your home country. Any packages returned due to abandonment or returned to sender will be refunded with the deduction of incurred expenses. A $25 return to sender fee is applied to these orders.

We recommend that all hair is sent back with a tracking number. If your order is sent back without a tracking number Bombay Hair is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages.

Items that ship with free delivery will have a $10 deduction if returned for initial shipping costs.

What is your holiday season return policy?

Applies to items purchased between November 1, 2025 and January 8, 2026.

Hair Extensions

  • Deadline: Exchanges or returns for store credit must be initiated by January 31, 2026.
  • Condition: Hair must be in original packaging, with ties intact and unopened.
  • Sales Items: Hair purchased during seasonal promotions (e.g. Black Friday, Boxing Day) is eligible for exchange or store credit only β€” no refunds.
  • Final Sale: Items marked as final sale cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Return Label Fee: A $9.95 fee applies to all returns and exchanges.
  • Rejected Returns: Hair that is opened, worn, or altered will be rejected and sent back or disposed of.


Styling Tools

  • Deadline: Exchanges or returns for store credit must be initiated by January 31, 2026.
  • Condition: Tools must be unused and in original packaging.
  • Sales Items: Tools purchased during seasonal promotions (e.g. Black Friday) qualify for store credit or exchange only β€” no refunds.
  • Kits & Bundles: All Styling Kits and Bundles are final sale.
  • Return Label Fee: A $9.95 fee applies to all returns and exchanges.
  • Special Promotions: Some promotions may include unique return conditions, noted in the product description.


Shipping & Handling

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • A $9.95 return label fee applies to all exchanges and returns.
  • Returned or abandoned packages: Orders returned to sender or not claimed will be refunded minus applicable costs, including a minimum $25 return-to-sender fee.
